[T-Mobile] Visual Voicemail on 8900! HOW TO

Ok these are the steps I did to setup visual voice mail on my t-mobile blackberry curve 8900

    Step 1:

Have the latest 5.0 OS or any 5.0 OS on your BB with the visual voicemail Icon i got it on the net .348

    Step 2:
Goto your my.tmobile.com page and change your device to the new 9700 even though your using the 8900

    Step 3:
Goto change services and you will see the visual voice mail there for free! Select it and save your plan!

Step 4: resend service books if you have to or just go and enable it on your BB and it should start instantly like it did for me!

Here are my screenshots sorry it took so long for these.

also I have the unlimited data plan for 25 bucks I see they have another one that says 30 dollars when it has the same features as my plan funny how that is...

and the visual voicemail is BEAUTIFUL!

I'm a little new here, I have the Storm 9530 on the T-Mobile network, I enabled the visual voice mail service on my account.
You said to download it from the app world, is their a visual voice mail app for the T-Mobile visual voice mail or do I need to use an after market app like google voice or youmail.
I just wanted to see if I could get it working natively on the BB like the 8900 ect...

Make sure you have OS 5.0 installed and the Icon should have already been on the screen. If you dont have OS 5.0 installed I dont think visual voice mail will work for you.

What 3rd party visual voice mail app are you talking about?

I asked theTmobile rep about the visual voice mail and she said you did not have to change the phones. I upgraded to 5.0 leak and the application was there. Right now I am using Fusion Voice Mail plus because you can listen to your messages over the web also.

It has to be changed on the my.t-mobile.com website or the option wont be there unless they added the option to the 8900 phones even though the ICON wont appear on there 4.7 OS

you must have the magic touch, i haven't found anybody over at crackberry who can get VVM working with TMO on their 9000 including me, i've deleted all service books, removed all VVM cod's, battery pulled reinstalled VVM, resent service books after provisioning for VVM using the 9700 on TMO's site. nothing, just this screen "visual voicemail is not set up. have you added visual voicemail to your wireless account" at this point i have to assume that it simply isn't provisioned yet, TMO told me it could take up to 72 hours, while is is hard to believe i don't know what else to think. i have worked on this for HOURS tho i only switched to TMO yesterday, it's making me obsessed to get it to work. i haven't managed to find one person with a 9000 on TMO that has VVM working yet, and if your is, would you create a backup file that only includes the VVM settings? like backup only that one part. i'm using .411 on the 9000, and i can only assume now it's either not provisioned, or theres some leftover database from when i was on att, blocking something.

i have followed these steps, i've even tried it on .238 .314 .348 and .411 different versions of VVM, different restore files, no restore files, resending SB's. i honestly don't believe it's working on a 9000 on tmobile. considering theres a huge community of 9000 users all trying and not succeeding... i have to assume what has been said here about the 9000 is fabricated.
