Thread: Is there a way to hide/unhide WIFI option under Manage Connections?

Hi all, i received a used Curve 8530, however, i can see the WIFI option under Manage connections.

Is there a way that the previous user/company hid this option fro security reason?

i appreciate any help here. I'd like to get WIFI back so my daughter can use the phone and browse the internet over wifi?

hi marceln, it is possible that the device may have a "IT Policy" on it. and an it admin can write a policy to do just about anything including disabling wifi gps and so forth.

and to answer your question. there is no "user option" to disable being able to turn on or off the wifi.

you can also go into your advanced options on the berry and under Enterprise Activation will tell you if i has been used on an enterprise server and has an IT policy on it

additionally the site BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife has the latest download and it works a little smoother then the older ones

Awesome Leonard. That was exactly the issue. I used BBSAK, Factory reset, to initialize the device and everything is good now.
