Extremely slow boot time
Right, so I'm running OS 220.127.116.116, and lately I've been subjected to a VERY slow bootup time (ie. a batter pull). A couple months back, it used to boot in 3 minutes, and now, 10 minutes is normally how long it takes, and I haven't changed my OS for a very long time.
Any ideas on how to reduce the time? I don't have many apps installed, so I can't think of any reason it's behaving like this.
If you don't have many apps installed you can try elimination process. Backup your device. And then start deleting apps, starting with the ones you may think are an issue, one by one till you notice any change.

So I do this until it stops?:

I'll try it out as soon as I'm not busy :)
Thanks Joe :)
I don't have the memory cleaner enabled, so I don't think it's coming from that.

Right. I'll try that, and if it didn't work, I'll try Joe's method.

1. Backup all ur data & apps
2.Install OS on PC & Shrink OS. Remove most of junk & select only core apps
3. Do a clean wipe with BBSAK
4. Do a fresh install with only core apps.
5. See Bootup time. If still it is low, try with a diff OS -preferable old OS with which the handset was launched.
6. If that too gives, slow boot chk ur device memory etc. It could be buggy!!!
Yeah, I did shrink my OS before I installed it. I took out all the apps that need a data plan, like BBM, Twitter, MSN, all of those. I guess I'll have to update. I'll do it when school ends, though :)
