    Default BBM w/o dataplan

    Is there a way to get BBM to work on wifi without having a data plan.My provider is Rogers canada

    Unfortunately, no. If you get a data plan, then remove the SIM, you can use WIFI for BBM. Maybe you can get a friends SIM (with a data plan from Rogers) put it in, then resend the service books, take out the SIM and try BBM.

    I've heard of doing this, never tried it though as I always use my data.

    I don't think so, but I am going to see if i could borrow my friends SIM for a while

    EDIT: Sorry, I thought you said BES...and yeah, my carrier supports it, I just don't have a data plan

    As long as you pay for the data plan .. The service books is available and in ur device but if you deactivated the service or stopped paying , service books would be deleted by your Carrier !
    But try the above trick , it may work
