Hi
I'm currently running OS 4.6 and I really would like OS 5...
I'm on the MTN Network and I'm not able to do a wireless update.
I've noticed that you guys have done great job adding the releases on the forum, thanks... But my question is, which OS 5 would work on my phone. I see there are different versions and I think developers?

Any os marked for the 8520 will work just fine, I believe what you are thinking as developers may actually be the carriers or hybrid builders. If in the case of carriers, any os is actually developed by RIM, the carriers may tweak it for their networks, but the tweaks generally only affect devices branded for that carrier.
If in the case you are looking at hybrids, developers take diffrent files from different RIM developed os's, and create a hybrid of version numbers. Depending on the skill level of the hybrider, you will get a range of os quality. In this case, you will need to do a little leg work to find a reputable hybrid creater.

Any OS 5 that is branded for "8520" will work, but you must remove Vendor.xml file if its from a different carrier.
I would load the most up to date/newset OS for your device, and follow the advice given on this forum.
