when will OS 6 for curve 8520 released ? i wait so long for it ... can anyone tell me when will it released ?

As far as I'm aware -- OS6.0 will NOT be released for the Curve 8520. I found this out and switched to the 9800.

OS6 will "probably" never be designed for the curve 85XX series as OS6 uses 230MB on average and our phones only have 256MB. So even if you could get it working you would not be able to use many (or any) third party or extra native apps because they would not have enough memory to work. RIM has pretty much outdated the curve 85XX series and as far as I know they won't be even giving us any more proper updates

Yes, the 85xx will most likely never see OS 6.

Isnt there a way to some how get it onto the phone? maybe hack it??? os6 looks soooo cool

No, but you can always install a theme that looks like OS 6 if you are into the UI... Blackberry OS6 Themes For OS 5 Only on BlackBerryOS App Superstore

Is there a free version, I have a version of it on my phone but it doesnt have the frequent and favorite thing nor does it hide the dock

There are many version online that are free and paid. You'll just have to read the details to see what you are looking for. Generally, paid themes have more features and come with better support, but that isn't always the case.

8520 doesnt have the memory to handle it etc. :laugh2:

OS 6 not compatible with BB Curve 8520, but you can use the Hybrid OS which combine OS 5 & OS 6 Module.

Ugh, I'm desappointed too.

help!! i cant update to OS5 i used BBSAK 1.9 and 1.5 but still it cant detect my curve. my os is 4.6.1.314

Yep. I've heard that too. I was so disappointed. I have seen a theme that makes your phone look liken os6 it's called dream torch. It's got a sliding dock and nearly every thing. Look it up on google and google

That's the same they said about bbm version 7

BBM V7 is available for OS 4.5 and up.

Has anyone tried to force install OS6 to 8520? I just wanted to try it. But they say could but slow.
