    Can you unlock a verizon 8530 for sprint? if so how?

    Yes you can. Visit GSMPhone-Unlocking.com to purchase an unlock code and they will also provide you with the steps/directions on how to unlock it.

    it is an 8530...they only have ones for 8520...i think i might have to flash it!

    Oh ya, they don't deal with CDMA, sorry. Check out our friends store over at BerryReview, they can get you an unlock code for the 8530

    I don't think you can "unlock" a Verizon to Sprint. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't unlocking a means to change a CDMA carriers device to a GSM carrier?
    Example: Verizon to AT&T?

    The first thing I would do is call sprint and have them check the ESN to see if they will activate it. I tried to do this the other way around with an 8330 from sprint to verizon and even though I could get it flashed to work on verizon they would not activate any phone that came from another network.
