We are currently running BESX and we have just added an 8530 to the server. The phone syncs with the desktop, the phone receives emails and syncs with the contacts and calendar, but the "Desktop" folder does not show up on the main screen.
Any idea how to make this folder show up?
I have seen this Vader.....
The sales force for the company I work for all are on the BES....
Unfortunately, I cannot get one of there devices right now. The first chance I get I will figure it out and post up an answer for you. Unless of course you figure it out sooner.

Vader, I was unable to duplicate the Desktop folder.
I could not find that option however, I'm still looking for some resolution.

As for your work Desktop icon -- that is controlled by your BES admins...if it existed on your prior device, then your new BB should also have it if it is activated on the same BES as your prior. See your BES admins about getting it pushed to your new BB.
Messages will still contain all of your emails from all accounts...there is no way to suppress those without the Main Message List option. So you will have to find a configuration among the choices you have that works for you.

We did stumble on an interesting fact. We have 4 devices on our BESX server. (1) 9550 Storm 2, (1) 9530 Storm, (1) 8530 Curve 2, and (1) 8330 Curve. One of each of the types we have in the office. The odd thing is, the the (2) Storms have the desktop folder and the (2) Curves don't. All units are running a 5.0.0.xxx OS. So I posted that question to the help staff on the BB forum. We will see what they say. Once I get it fixed, I will post the results here.
