Please be aware that if you are in Indonesia and plan on buying a 2nd hand or refurbished Curve 83xx model, you risk at getting a clone. Most units are cloned and have a -1 (Minus One) as the Vendor ID.
Your Curve may work for one or two months but then your BIS will be deactivated.
If you plan on getting a second hand 83xx, please check the Vendor ID but Shift + Alt + H.
Also, many of these phones have only a few seconds showing Uptime so please do your self a favor and do not buy that phone unless you can get a 1 year replacement if you wound up with a clone.
thx buat sarannya bos.... parah emang bb di indo... jgnkan curve, bold aja ada yg suntikan.... uda sulit d cegah krn uda msk pasaran bnyk bgt.... kecuali si bos sendiri trn tgn mencegah para importir "nakal" d batam.... hehehe....
BerryReview had an article a while back about something similar. There was a company using parts of BB's to assemble units for sale. It didn't go into the PIN issue but I got the impression the PIN's there would either be cloned, or would be reused from devices that would likely have been blacklisted by the original carrier.
