Thread: Blinking green led

Please help me!

My son's curve has a flashing green led, the screen will not light up, however he gets calls and texts (he gets the text alert anyway). Does anyone have any clue what that might be caused by, or what to do? ANY tips at all would be very much appreciated......By the way, he is 18 and pretty responsible,so it isn't like he flushed it or something.

have you tried pulling the battery?

Yes, that was the first thing I tried, with no luck.

How is the Battery? When the battery is low, the led turns green. If not, try what Stiefler says. That's surely going solve the problem. Also exist an app name "Led Reset", maybe fix the issue

Also check in Options>Screen/Keyboard and make sure the LED Coverage Indicator is set to off.

I have charged the battery for over an hour now, with no success. Unfortutely, none of the other tips will help so far as the screen is still black. Nothing shows on it yet. I am lost.
Do any of you think reloading the Os would help? And if so, how would I tell when it is wiped since nothing is on screen?
Sorry for all the questions. Am just lost.

Whoops, sorry. I glossed over the part about the screen not working.

There's a program called BBScreenStream.exe, it relies on JavaLoader.exe. If you get those and put them in a directory and then start the BBScreenStream program it'll show you the screen output of the phone if the phone is hooked up by USB. You won't be able to use it concurrently with a phone wipe, but you will be able to see if the Curve is operating normally otherwise and do an Alt-LGLG to check the event log and see if that's of any help (or you can use CrackUtil to pull the event log off).

Thank you all for your help. I called Verizon and they said probably a flaw in the phone (at least that is what they said) they are replacing it free by Tuesday. It finally got to where it would not even TURN ON, let alone have anything but a blank screen, even with a battery that I know was good (my husband's). Time for a replacement no matter what.
