Thread: 8330 and email attachment issue

hey all,

I'm trying to help a friend at work.

he has the 8330 with .138 and not able to open any attachments on incoming emails.

according to him he has never been able to. I'm a storm abuser so the options menu is greek to me.

is this a 4.5 issue or can it be corrected

any help would be great

can it open any attachments or just not certain types?

go to options, advanced options, applications and look for attachment service, if is not installed that is the reason why he is not able to open attachments.

also make note that some type of files cant be opened on the blackberry

no pdf's but he can open jpegs

It's been awhile since my curve but I don't think I could open PDF's without a 3rd party app installed? Don't quote me on that though :cool2:

there is no way to open pdf files unless docs to go premiun wich include pdf docs viewer are installed or a third party reader which im no sure if exists

nope BB attach services is installed.

let me make a research on that to see what option i can find other than docs to go

this is the one I use and love it! It is pricey at 19.95 but does have a free trial

couldnt find a free one, and no .160 doesnt fix this, since this is a RIM limitation...
