Thread: Verizon 8330 & GPS

Is there a trick to getting GPS to work (BBMaps or Google Maps) on the 8330 or is it still on lock-down?

I upgraded to a Storm 11/2008 and threw the Curve in the drawer. A week ago I decided to give it to my wife...now I want to track her every move :laugh2: Actually, I was just giving her a little demo of the device and notice the GPS wouldn't lock on. DL'd Google Maps, nadda.

Using Lyricidal's 5.0.0.438/451 Hybrid. TIA

its just the 8330 I think.. I have tried many ways to change this including running the full 5.0.0.230 on my wifes and hers still sucks

8330 is unlocked for BB Maps only.
