Thread: Curve 9300 (alt-shift-del) soft reset blank white screen issue!

​i just got a curve 9300 with os 6 and the alt shift del soft reset was working great, then tried updated os bundles and when pressing alt shift del it shows blank whitescreen and wont go until pressing alt shift del again and then it resets normally!

I tried wiping my device and re-installing the OS and still no luck,!?

OK, with the phone on, pull the battery and let the phone sit for a minute or two. Replace the battery and repeat twice more. Now replace the battery and let it boot up.
Regarding the alt/shift/del key strokes; This does not do the same as a battery pull, especially after updates and/or upgrades. A true battery pull, as instructed above, is the best way to get the upgrades/updates to settle in quickly.

So am I correct in thinking that you did an OS upgrade and the alt/shift/del stopped working?

yea but stopped working properly, it works after doing the stroke again on the white screen

That sounds like there was a "burp" during the upgrade process and something did not get downloaded correctly. What I would do is a re-install of the OS. Was the upgrade done over the air or using desktop manager? Also, what OS did you upgrade to?

using the apploader and i did re-install the os couple of times for the both OS i tried and here they are:

The firmware update you listed is for the .668 OS, not the 706 OS. This may be the problem.

i dont get it sorry would you please explain more further?

Sorry, you gave a link for the firmware update that shows the only update is for the .668 OS and you downloaded the .706 OS.
It is very possible that the .668 firmware does not comply with the .706 OS.

I think that you should delete the .668 firmware upgrades, reboot the phone by a battery pull, and see if it is fixed.

but i did the same when upgrading to .668 from the original that came on device Package Version: 6.0.0.2475
Consisting of:

• Applications: 6.0.0.546
• Software Platform: 6.6.0.207

and when tried the .706 i wiped the device using BBSAK from the .668
