That's why it's important to delete the vendor.XML file if you plan to install any OS not from your own carrier.
That is a tough question. It could be a number of things from .706OS not compatible with an app(s) on your phone to the OS itself. Lets see what happens after you find the second vendor.xml file.

I'm just wondering, why do you do two soft rest functions so close together?
At this point, I'd go back to .668 and try to recreate the issue. If not, you may want to stay with it until another carrier releases .706, or just stop the soft reset for now if you want to stick with the current .706OS.
I posted your issue to the rest of the team and we'll see if there are other possible fixes.
Oops, sorry. I just reread the original post again. OK, I'm back on board with you again. The white screen issue was after the upgrading.
So, forget that question and we'll see if other team members have an answer to the problem.

Who's your carrier and do you have a blackberry data plan? Just making sure that avenue is not an issue.
Since your phone is unlocked, are you using your original SIM card with a blackberry data plan from estisalat?
