Hi my first Blackberry with a real keyboard, was a Q5 a very good phone, after reading that BBos phones were not the best and i like to try every
operating system i bought a second had Bold 9900, and checked to see if it had latest software found a major update available, had a few system lockups before update
and now it works perfectly, and have found the few apps i need are in Blackberry world, i now understand why the keyboard is popular and the Bold one is the best yet i have tried and prefer it over Q5 and touch screen ones, the menu/return/call and end call buttons are very useful takes me back to my old Nokia phones a feature missed on Q 5 / Q 10, the touch screen is quick and responsive and used with Track pad and buttons make a good combination, call quality is very good and Wi-Fi connects quickly and maintains connection, battery life is good and meets my needs and lasts a full day and can be removed/replaced, it`s build quality is very good and looks as new, as for the size it`s about right and not too heavy feels solid and should last, the BBos operating system is very easy to learn and use and after a few minutes i felt at home with it,
does the Bold 9900/9930 still have what it takes to use in 2014 along side the latest Blackberry Q5/Q10 ?, personally i think yes after using both systems for while
and find each has it`s plus/minus points, and the many owners who hang onto their Bold 9900 / 9930 i now understand why and if it meets their needs why not?,
would l buy a new one ? yes, and for now there is a choice and we can enjoy both systems, and it appears Blackberry will be supporting BBos for a few more years,
