9900 starts up then restarts

Hi I bought a blackberry 9900 faulty as i could not afford one to be honest. My friend said he could get it working so I thought why not. It came not being able to turn on, no red led or sign off life.
So I went and bought a new battery and wow the red led came on which in turn let me connect to desktop manger, after trying to get the newest update I could not get past the connecting jmc part, so I tryed down grading to I think 7.0 and when it got to device part I toke the battery out and put back in and it came up with the blackberry screen, I was so happy thinking it was fixed only for it to finish install and then i was about to use it and it just turned of and started rebooting again, just keeps repeating this now.

Can anyone help, hope i have not wasted £120 on this.

I tryed upgrading to 7.1 again but no joy. so downgraded to 7.0 and again it goes to the main screen but then turns it self off and reboots again.

Unfortunately in your case there is no telling what the seller did to this device, and its most likely a hardware issue. However, you can try to follow our guide on recovering a nuked BlackBerry.

Thanks but how do i get Operating Software for my device?

When i go till app loader it brings my pin up, unlike the guide where it says it will say pin unknown. When i press next it says the blackberry desktop software does not have blackberry device software for the device that you have connected to the computer.
What should i do now?
I also used bbask to set to factory settings and do a wipe but still it loads the whole way to the main screen and then restarts.

No, I wiped it and got the 507 error up and then done the software again but same thing happened, loads right up to home screen then restarts. Going to bring it till a shop later to see what he thinks. Most be some hardware problem. Will let yous know later.
