    Possessed phone!

Evening, has anybody experienced the cursor bouncing around the screen while typing a memo, note, etc.? It doesn't happen every day, but seems to be more frequent. I've been using 7.1.0.402 for a while now with no new apps installed, and its been acting up now for 2 weeks. Any suggestions, I would rather not downgrade OS because the 402 build is awesome. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, crazy thing is my fingers are nowhere near the screen or trackpad. Its pretty crazy! The cursor just travels wherever it wants.

No the track pad adjust. didn't do anything to curb it. I'm expecting it to climb the ceiling and puke pea soup at any moment!

You may just be fine re-installing .402 if you are particular toward that build.

It may be a hardware issue and may have to be replaced.

I change the battery every day (due to the short life) . This may sound crazy, but is there any possibility that the battery may have something to do with it? The irregularity of it may come and go due to me changing the battery out. Any thoughts?

I've read others have said the new .523 for the 9900 takes care of the problem...

You may want to try installing the new OS release that can be found in the forums.

Yup, the craziness is confirmed, for the past 6 days i have kept tabs on my batteries. Same routine, Same usage, same everything... Only difference is the battery. Cursor has a mind of its own, volume buttons are rendered useless and voice command prompt decides to run (usually at the most inconvenient time!) Logically it doesn't make any sense, but it happens. Thanks for everyones help.

Have you tried anything in regards to reloading the OS as suggested by newshutr?

Thanks everyone, but I just keep feeling more and more foolish everyday. I've downloaded .523 half a dozen times, cleaned my computer of everything Blackberry (with the exception of DM ) and the file unzips as .402 with every file except the vendor file, prior to deleting of course. I'm going to try downloading again on an old antique desktop and see what happens. If it unzips as OS .402 again I'm going to the bar.

I would suggest deleting all other OS version on your computer first..

Then download the new .523, install it, reboot the computer..delete the vendor xml files..
