alepjumper, since you downloaded OS7.1.0.284 and BlackBerry Desktop Manager to your device (is that even possible)? find someone who is willing to let you use their laptop PC, plug in your BlackBerry Bold 9900 (make sure Media Card Support is enabled) and move those 2 files to the desktop, then install.

Yes, it is possible with my baby bold 9900! cuz I have unlimited data plan, so I can download as many as I want. Yup, I did like u said when installing previous OS. Went to friend's house and did it there. But the hard part was when I have to wait like many hours to backup my phone data..

Tough luck. Bro, this OS is the best so far. I have no worries that it will last me long. I need to charge twice a day due to my usage. I am a heavy user.

The Battery Saving Mode seems to really help too.
