Thread: Help! How to restore? (backed it up but "software manager" doesn't facilitate it!

Hi all,

I had to reset my Bold 9900 due to battery problems. I backed up my contacts and such few weeks ago but I have no idea how! I found the file in the "backberry backup" but I can't see how to "import" it using BB software Manager. I can't click the "restore" button nor can I tag the "restore data" at the device tag. Please help me out. More than 200 contacts with email adresses, blah etc...

So you backed up your Bold using the Desktop Manager?
And when you connect your Bold to your computer, the Desktop Manager does not restore your backup?

Correct. It does not show "restore" nor does it able me to restore manually.

I restored it. I noticed in that my device was not connected. After rebooting, it showed "connected" and restored automatically. Thanks though for your response.

That's good. It did seem strange to me that your DM was not letting you recover your back up. Glad you're back up and running.
