I would like to install 9930 os in my 9900 so I will be able to get 3g only option in my network selection mode cos I don't want my 9900 to be falling back to 2g(edge). Anyone with usefull information plz help...thanks

You can't install a 9930 OS on a 9900. They have different Radio files as one is made to work on the CDMA networks and the other is made to work on the GSM networks
So is there anyway I can I have 3g only option in my network mode in my bold 9900....cos the 4g\3g\2g option is always falling back to edge....pls reply

then tell us what number do you see under Appversion, that is your OS version, seems like you have a buggy OS
My app version is 7.1.0.190(561)....I actually downloaded it from this site... In my network option there is only 4g\3g\2g and 2g to select from...the phone is tmobile branded and I had to unlock it so I can use it in my country... So I would like to know if there is anything I could do to put the 3g only option on the network mode...pls help
On my BlackBerry Bold 9900 OS 7.1.0.190, Network Mode: 3G/H+ & 2G, 3G/H+, OR 2G, so therefore, you can't have only 3G.Quote:

I don't think is the network bcos my dad has the same phone unbranded with the same os and his network mode option is 3g,2g and 3g\2g and we both use the same network in the same area... So I tink is just a software issue for tmobile branded 9900
