Thread: Headset EQ issues

Hey ,
I just recently got my Blackberry Bold 9900.
And I found out that the Headset EQ is just terrible
I use my Beats by Dre. Studio to listen to music
And when I plug em in my Blackberry this terrible cracky bass comes out of it
At first I was shocked cause I thought it was my headphone that broke
But after trying it on my old Blackberry it sounds like it should.
It sounds like it's bass is to loud when it totally isn't.
Can somebody help me with this?

It's possible you could have the Bass too high (technically too low) so if you check the Media Player's headset EQ, you can lower the Bass level like in the picture below. That might help.

The only thing that worries me is that there's a cracking sound which sounds to me like a bad connection with the headset jack input. Has it done it since you got the phone or all of a sudden? A battery pull might actually fix the issue as well.

I know that ...I know all about it....
I've ALWAYS used "Bass Boost" with this headphone on a OS6 device and OS5 too.
And now I have to set it too "Bass Lower" and it STILL cracks.... and to be honest ...my Bold 9000 sounded better..
I tried a different cable too and that's not the problem too...
And it's not that the bass is too much ....I think the EQ is just wrong
Cause when I plug my Headphone to my Logitech speaker and put Bass to the fullest it just GIVES MORE BASS ...no cracking at all.

PS : The "Audio Boost" function doesn't work either

Sounds like it's the actual input of the phone then... The conductor might be faulty thus making the cracking noise. I would call your service provider and have them "troubleshoot it" so you can get a new device sent to you if you want bc its obviously not suppose to do that...

Well I actually believe it's a software thing instead of a hardware thing...
You must really hear it ,it's hard to describe
Everything sounds crystal clear except for the bass.
I also believe it's a software failure cause the Audio Boost also does nothing
Many things just don't work like they should.
Ubersocial doesn't work with touchscreen ...only scrolling
The search function doesn't work on the browser..
So sad...
