That's a loaded question. It depends on what you want to do with the device and what you expect out of it?

I'm going to be getting the 9900's cousin, the 9930. But the 9850 does look awfully tempting with the bigger screen real estate.

I do agree but i think the 9900/9930 makes a little more sense i simple didnt get the torch because of the slider.
Slider phones dont work long for me no matter what company makes the phone... LOL

I am thinking of getting the 9900. I still lihe my torch.

It will be interesting to see how much I use the trackpad with the ability of using the touchscreen.

.. i've got finger looking like a toe.. lol.. a bigger keypad is required.. but the size of the 9900 is definitely to think about if i want to put / carry it in the shirt pocket while @ work...

I can't until its out to my provider. I am so excited.

The 9900 and 9930 are both the same device, just that one is GSM, and one is CDMA.

I was going to buy me that Monaco but recently I bought a Torch so I will use this device for now. I will wait on you guys to inform me when the 9900 is out, if it is worth upgrading from a Torch

Nah, I like the torch and all but the slide is getting old!

I love my Torch and everything but I'm like a little kid with gadgets... I constantly need a new form factor to keep me happy #reason134whyIcanthaveaniPhone so I will definitely be getting the 9930.

Plus the original 9000 form factor was my favorite and I'm so happy RIM brought it back as I thought it was gone forever after the 9700 came out...

For sure, good move on RIM to make something better out of something great.

I have been a BlackBerry Bold user since the 9000 and now use a 9700. What can be better than a NEW Bold with a touch screen, paired with a new BlackBerry PlayBook. I can have the best of both worlds!

I patiently await the S3 to be paired with the 4G Playbook…oh happy (in the poorhouse when that day comes) day.

I went from a 9700 to the 9800 and I was surprised. With the Torch upgrade I went from a 7.5 to a 8.5. I like the big touchscreen user interface.
