Like I've said before, not loving the button change.

But, port location is amazingly smart

Seems like the raised buttons was a last minute deal to cut on costs/production.

    No battery specs...........

Different and slightly slower chip then 9900. if it has the same battery the 9700 has, it should have a much longer talk time then 9900.............oceanghost

Love the idea of having extra battery life, however doesnt it have the same JM-1 battery as the 9900?

Maybe ...just maybe ...people don't like spending the most when you can spend less to get 'good enough'
Not everybody is willing to pay the price of a 9900 and MAYBE just MAYBE they don't need 4G ,Wi-Fi sharing and all that good stuff
The anwser to "why did black berry even lunch (om nom nom) this" is probably the same answer to the question "Why does the Curve 8520 exsist?". And that answer is: If people don't need it all then there's no reason to pay it all.

I have personally seen the BlackBerry Bold 9790, and I think it's awesome, yes, it may not have the same specs as other model's, but everyone is different, what may seem to attract someone to a Bold 9790, may not attract someone who likes the Bold 9900,
    or even a Torch 9810, 9800.

RIM has to make different BlackBerry phones, for different reasons, the market is very difficult to calculate people's needs, and wants.

I give RIM credit for trying at least, which for some, is never enough.

i have the 9900 and i think i'd love the raised buttons. At first it looks not as appealling/flushed but it think it is very functional and much easier to press (softer) than the call-bb menu-back-hang up buttons on all the other bbs

Thanks for the detailed specifications since I consider to buy this device with a different server I am using at this moment.
Usually the server employees are unable to explain anything about most devices in this country ! !!
