Thread: cant make gmail account on my BB phone

hi all
i'm new with the BB world,i have the 9780 only a few days and still learning.
there is 2 issues\problems that i need help
1.is there a way to get rid of the password that locks the phone every few minutes
2.can't get my gmail acount , in normail i saw thats when making email account there is option of
"internet mail account" but my phone dont have it

please can some help me

1. From universal search, type in "password" and you should be able to select the password settings. Once you are in the password settings, simply uncheck "enable" and save. You should now have disabled the password screen from coming up anymore.

2. Click on your Setup icon, and then go to Email Accounts. From there you can choose to add a new email account. If you are having issues adding a new account, it may be because you don't have a BIS data package.

1.the box to unmarked the unable are in grey so ia cant do nothing
2.when i go to email accounts there is only 1 Choice. too enter mail and password for the orrginazer

Did you buy this device brand new or used? Sounds like device has some Enterprise policies in place

Seems like there is an IT policy put in place. Have you asked your IT dept to remove any policies on the device?
