Thread: BB9780 - problem after uninstalling theme with unnecessary icons and folders.

Hi.
Today i install on my BB9780 theme from HedoneDesign - AVIO. It is great but doesn't support polish fonts and i see strange characters instead of letters.
I had to uninstall this theme but after that i see strange icons and folders in menu. I cannot delete.
How to do this? I don't want to WIPE my BB.

Do you have the language pack installed for your BlackBerry Bold 9780?

I took a look at that theme from the developer site, it's a great theme, and hope you can keep it.

Yes i have polish language pack in my BlackBerry.

I have fixed the link now.

I suspect that the theme you installed either doesn't have support for the Polish language, but I will look further into this issue.

I think the same that this theme doesn't support my language. I have other theme from this developer - Carbon, and everything is OK with polish fonts. I tried to contact with HedoneDesign, but no result.

I have done some searching regarding this theme for OS6/OS7 devices.

HedoneDesign has quoted from their site,

switch to original theme, reset it to defaults and restart your device (battery pull). After doing so go back and select Avio theme and reset it. There can still be few icons but you can “hide” them if you dont find them useful.

regarding glitches to the appscreen wallpaper and inserting icon name on appscreen.
the Bold 9780 is compatible for this theme, but try options above.

You have to take into account this theme was made without the use of Theme Builder, which can explain the issues you're experiencing with your BlackBerry Bold 9780 device.

The theme Builder for BlackBerry OS7 devices has not been officially released by RIM yet, so it is very difficult for theme builders to make it smooth across the board for all OS6/OS7 devices.

I would try to contact HedoneDesign again, and they can help you further.
