Device memory
After a few recent problems with BBM, I was advised (and it worked after doing it) to delete some of the pictures I had on my Blackberry as well as any unused apps I had installed that I didn't need to keep on.
All is well now, but the device memory (found through opening the media folder, pressing the BB key & choosing memory usage) reported before I deleted 20 photos that of the 32Mb the total free was just 1% and 99% was used (31.9Mb) in total. By pressing the "details" tab it said Pictiures accounted for 79% of this used space (25.3Mb worth).
I removed all the photos, and my BBM started working again, but when I checked the above after deleting the pictures, it still reports back exactly the same numbers.
Does anyone understand why it may be saying this, and if there is a way to correct it?

Try this first. With your device on, remove the battery and leave it out for 30 seconds to a minute. Reinstall your battery and after it boots up, recheck those memory readings again to see if it's any better.
Let us know what your results were.

I find my Blackberry Bold is slow to answer calls. I'll get a call and, although I keep pressing the button to answer it.

I pulled the battery and left it out for 2 minutes.
Oddly now, (oh-oh) the "Memory Use" option I checked when in the media folder has gone now too...
Weird.

When making changes with the OS restarting your Blackberry is important.. battery pull can help with many of those issues.

Yeah, I tried that. Done 3 or 4 battery pulls, but it still doesn't show... :)

You may be having a memory card format issue.

Hi Joe.
Everything else appears reasonably normal (except for the report of this , and App Stalker not responding (but that's no worry anyway)).
I'll keep an eye out and if things start messing up, I'll look at other options.
Cheers for responding guys, I'll come back to the thread if it needs an update here. :D
