Note: This OS can be installed on ANY 9780 regardless of your carrier, read instructions below

Make sure you create a backup using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager before you perform the below! Close it after the backup is done!

Instructions For Installation:

1) Install the *.exe file you just downloaded.

2) Navigate to one of the following paths depending on your Windows Operating System:

•32-bit: Computer/C:/Program Files/Common Files/Research In Motion/AppLoader
•64-bit: Computer/C:/Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Research In Motion/AppLoader


3) Delete the file named vendor.xml

4) Connect your BlackBerry through the USB port

5) Run loader.exe

6) Follow the on-screen instructions and enjoy.



Matrix Leader

Findings:

- Fastest performance for a 9780 OS so far hands down, very snappy. You will only notice this after 3 battery pulls.

- Fastest browsing experience so far, both on 3G and even faster on WiFi

- No hidden cursor bug in browser (This was fixed ever since build 480 but is worth mentioning)

- Decent battery life after battery run in for 3 days while keep the battery charged / topped of as much as possible during the run in period.


Bugs (Very small and negligible bugs):

- If you are using a 3rd party theme, after a battery pull, if you press MENU, you will get a blank screen, pressing the Back Arrow button then Menu again will properly show the menu icons. It only happens once if you are using a 3rd party theme and only after a battery pull. then it never happens

- If you want to access the home screen preferences under the Display sub category, you won't be able to unless you switch back to the default OS 6 theme otherwise the screen will automatically take you back. Again, not a big issue since users usually set their options once and rarely ever go there again, it's just that portion.

- Just like 546, when you reboot your device, your cookies are deleted and you will have to reenter your Username / Password on some sites.

Verdict: Not a perfect OS, but the extra speed boost is worth living with these minor glitches, loving it much more than 546 so far.
