Input System Error when typing a space in Arabic

Hi, My mom's 9780 is having a problem.

She has a strange error that is happening lately, and only when typing in Arabic only, English is perfectly fine.

When I type, if she presses a spacebar, she gets the following Error Message: "Input System Error. The system is being restarted."

She was running OS 546, so I wiped my device and reinstalled the OS excluding all the software permissions and word substitutions but that didn't help.

Then she just loaded OS 448 with no luck.

All done with a complete wipe and 0 3rd party applications installed.

She did not have this error before. What can I do?

It only happens when she types a space in Arabic. English is perfectly fine :(

Try reloading the same OS.
A battery pull sometimes helps such an error, you don't have to always go the way of wiping and reloading the OS.

Try and reinstall the language support for both english and arabic.

I did but that didn't help.

When I meet her next week, I will wipe her device again, but not restore the backup file and see if maybe the backup is causing this.

I had the same problem, I ended it -temporally- by enabling the multitap from the menu button. Hope it will work for you.

Ok guys, I fixed the problem, here is what I did.

1) I backed up my mom's phone using BlackBEdrry Desktop Manager (Custom Backup, not FULL)
I only chose to backup contacts, messages, sms messages, blackberry messenger, and browser bookmarks, everything else was NOT checked, especially the options and autotext entries

2) I then wiped her BB using BBSAK

3) installed 6.0.0.600 after shrinking it

4) Updated to the latest BBM 6.0.0.111

5) restored my custom backup

6) performed a battery pull

Tada! problem solved :D

It was all a problem with her previous settings / backup file
