Thread: Line appearing in the middle of tray for Bold 9780

i bought a bold 9780 a month ago....and i had this problem in which i had this line appearing on the tray section......i got my phone replaced thinking that there was some problem with the phone ....but it was not , the line doesnt seem to go away.....and the battery life and the performance of the phone
a little help for the problem would be appreciated
I'm attaching a picture which would give an idea about the line i'm talking about ....

The tray as in the blue bar at the bottom? Do you have a custom theme installed?

Yes the blue bar
there's a line in the middle of the blue bar which is unusual ....

Do you have a custom theme installed? If so, try and go back to the default theme to see if it will go away.

I haven't installed a cutom theme
Its the default os 6 theme .....

Click the blackberry button when your on that screen.
Go options and check what your home screen icons are set too. There's 3 choices
1. No icons
2. One line
3. Two lines.
I believe yours is set to no icons, hence the blue line at the bottom. If you click on it the icons will appear I use One line ( the most used ones)

Incidentley, people select the no icons setting to disable the side screens from activating ( which even bugs me!)

Yea, I always use a custom theme so I've gotten used to not using the default theme features.

I used to have this on my friends phone...what you do is you set the font to about 8 or so, but not over 10. Reload the OS (backing everything up first). It should go away.

This makes sense, seeing the font has ability to stretch images beyond their normal size, which explains the line as the image is repeating itself.

maybe i've made some mistake getting my problem across
just check the image again....
there's a LINE in the middle of the blue bar....or try to put your os 6 phone with the 'no icons' setting and compare it with the image
maybe then you'll understand the line i'm talking about

Yes, that's what I was talking about. No matter what tray slot/area you are in, there is a blue line through the bottom. Right?

there is a line passing through the blue bar...thats wht im saying......
in the pic
the line just below the part where it says 'screenmuncher.com'
