Thread: Themes for OS6. 9780.

I just found/downloaded a free Theme off Crackberry. With it comes custom icons, and its set in a style of OS5 ( non sliding screens) I put a vodafone UK logo wallpaper on, very tidy. The name is lite theme OS 6. Loads of OS6 themes available at last!

I currently use Vinto by Hedone Designs. I purchased it at a deal price of $3.99, well worth it considering the complete overhaul it provides. [Reg. price is 6.99$] Might contemplate getting OS6 Lite.. ;D

I just checked out the vinto you mentioned, that looks an amazing theme. I like the style of the clock.

Has alot of nice tweaks to it. Menu is nice, icons are nice, layout has a very nice and refreshing feel to it. Always have to get used to the Hedone Design themes, as they are completely custom and their main menu is unlike the rest.

yaa the sliding option in the os6 is soo cool

OS5 looks with OS6 improvements!
Free theme, looks and functions like the good old OS5. No Panes, 6 items on
the home screen, 24 on application page.

Redox looks nice...do they have it for the 8520?
De-Lexion is great, I did a theme review on it.

I checked out Redox in the BBOS store, and guess what? They used the OS7 icons. What's the problem, you may ask. Well, did you see anywhere in that text the name sabisgeek? Anywhere? No? Thought so. I hate it when people don't give credit for other's work. It's happening a lot, and I always get angry whenever I see it. It's not like they're going to die if they don't. I've always cited my sources, and I expect the same. People just don't give credit where credit is due.
Its the same deal with Reflex. I'm just so mad right now *angry smiley which Joe forgot to add to the list of smileys the BBOS forums could use, so just imagine an angry smiley instead of this sentence*

Unfortunately, Redox is only for the 9780, 9700, and the 9650, although it is a very nice theme, clean look with a weather slot, and very light on the BB too.

With regards to giving credit, I know that it is frustrating sometimes, sometimes one spends a lot of time and hard work and the least he could get is some credit. However, you have to keep 2 things in mind: 1) The Developer or Poster may have simply forgotten to do so or was not aware. 2) Even if they were aware, we have to face it that it happens on the internet on any site / forum. Sigh...is all we can do, it's not like we are going to sue them if they don't give credit. It is a very nice gesture to give credit to the person who made something, but also, can be neglected sometimes and thus, we have to live with it.


Russnah is the developer of the Reflex theme, and he has superior customer service. Usually, when I had bought a few times and asked for a lil tweak, the developer would just tell me this is how the theme is, take it or leave it. But Russnah was very quick to reply, and made me a custom version of the Reflex theme without the icons of the first row on the home screen overlap to the second row when you scroll right as that was very annoying for me and often got in my way. Just noting
