9700 and Iphone spotted running on Telus HSPA

    9700 Blackberry

    Iphone

Now to go along with Bell's launch we now have these two phones running on Telus's HSPA network! These were caught in the wild and are actually being tested. This is huge news considering Telus announced that they will be launching HSPA in November. Their HSPA network will cover approximately 93% of Canada.

It's said that VZW is gonna be kicking off a "if the iDoesn't, what does?" ad this evening during the Yankees and Angles game.

I would be surprised of the 97% of the Canada coverage. I'm on Telus and there is a lot of dead zones with my Storm for the EV so I will wait until it's running but I'm a little sceptical

Wow will be interesting to see how bellus handles the move to hspa for devices with no fallback to alternative built in standards like edge, gprs & gsm. Should be a fun few years to catch up to the competition. Might be nice, to finally have a North American hspa blackberry unit that falls back to cdma standards in coverage issue areas. I'm sure it will come soon..........
