5.0.0.249 Screen Shot of Bold 2!

Again our friend Sal has come through! He has provided this picture of the 9700 Bold running the OS version 5.0.0.249. Not much is known about how the OS runs, works, or new features. BUT this does not have tabbed browsing and still 4.7 BBM at the moment. So how excited are all of you now!?

I always get jealous when I see an "in the wild" picture of one of these devices. And now it is running 5.0... talk about a double whammy!

November 11th can't come soon enough. All I know is that this device better not launch like the first Bold and be delayed for two months.. I will be sharpening my pitchfork, lighting my torch, and taking a roadtrip to Belleview...

Interesting with the different 3G bands on these 2 screen shots.
    Sal's says bands 1, 4 and 8 (AT&T version??) and the other
    says bands 1, 2, 5 and 6! Quad band???
Anyone in the know that can define what these bands 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8 are??
    Cheers,
    Todd

The Bold version that was released in Japan was quad-band 3G....
2100, 1900, 850 and 800 MHz bands were included for UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, and thats what the 9700 will be capable of...most new BB's will be HSDPA compatible...until 4G becomes more available

I just checked wiki here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UMTS_frequency_bands
if the same then Sal's is a T-Mobile 9700 and the other is EU, Japan and US, right?

    Rogers and AT&T 9700's use bands 1, 2, 5. Whereas T-Mobile(USA) 9700's use band 4. The device pictured is a T-Mobile UK, Germany device.

Thanks for the clarification on that. I was wondering the same thing.
