Thread: Newest Onyx hardware - Trackball, not trackpad

9020 will have TP. Period. Decision has been made. And it won't launch on the carrier most people think first. The latest versions of the SW won't even work with the trackball. TB units won't work past .13x

to have a trackpad and not the trackball.
There were leaks on crackberry.com
showing the onxy with the trackball
but then it got switched to a trackpad.
In my opinion the trackpad will be

I would have liked to see the trackpad too, but unfortunately, most rumors, are just that. I generally don't believe anything until I see the final specs on the carriers homepage

Keep in mind too that the Tour is predominately a biz device and most biz users are comfortable with the trackball. RIM probably did their homework and were afraid that people would not upgrade if the Tour had a trackpad. Just speculation on my part but it makes sense.
