Hi all blackberryOS users.
I have been asking myself this for a while now: is there a possibility to hardware reset a blackberry device? In particular the 9700.
I have two bold's: one doesn't turn on and the other the red light goes on and phone dies after that. Is there an option to hardware reset the thing, load a new bootloader and OS? :D
I hope you know what a hardware is before you start thinking about resseting it? Hardware are (as concerns blackberry) those parts that you can touch e.g. The keyboard, the LCD screen, the track pad, the battery, the case, the circuit board etc. So I wonder how you will like to reset these things, or do you mean replacing some of them? The much I can tell you is that you can only be able to replace them and not resseting them, although nobody knows it all I stand to be corrected. Thank you.
sunny, i think he is referring to a way to perform a "wipe" or "master reset" using only the hardware keys. like the shift+ power+send keys at the same time.
as far as im aware sunnycee there is not. Most JVM platforms don't have any iso or image file saved to load the os from so it would need to be loaded via a loader of some sort
