    Calling Problem HELP ME

I got my Bold 9700 from Saudi Arabia. It wasn't locked to any network. I moved after that to Egypt. Since then any OS i install on my blackberry other the version that came with it which was 5.0.0.442 when i call any number from the contacts that has no international access key the BB adds automatically +966 which is the key of Saudi Arabia. I have tried everything; I remove the file "vendor.xml" each time i change the OS. if I go back and install a fresh version of the 5.0.0.442 their is no problem please help :irked::irked::17::17::17:

It sounds like you may have to change your number in the bb itself. I'm not going to try and talk you through this, but I will forward your problem to another team member that can help you do this. Hang in there

Do you mean you have the same carrier in Egypt as you did in Saudi Arabia?

Try this, on your device, go to Manage Connections > Mobile Network Options > and make sure you have GSM/UMTS chosen.

Also you can try this. Press the green dial button and then dial ##000000 (six zeros) and tap the green dial key again. You will find a place to enter the correct details of your number. Then save and the phone will reboot.

So when you dial ##000000, it redirects and calls +966 of Saudi Arabia?
