Question about the sensitivity of the screen..

I bought a few days ago a new Blackberry 9700, and I have a specific question about the screen of the device.
Maybe I'm paranoid and just think something's wrong, but I would appreciate if you can give me an opinion.

I noticed that as soon as I press the volume button or even just the plastic around the device that close to the screen - somthing like waves/flickering appear on the pressure side.

I don`t know if the screen supposed to be that sensitive.
My previous device (N95) these signs appear only if I clicked on the screen itself.

I just want to know if it's normal, or maybe my device is damaged, You can try it yourself.

I have seen reports of this on a lot of 9700 devices. Not sure if it's a manufacturers defect or not, but it seems like your within your first 30 days. Go back to att ot t-mob and get another is what I would do.

Really..?! I was sure that I'm just paranoid.

I'm sure there are people who have the same phenomenon and they don`t even notice it.
I`m sure If I wasn't very pedant as I am it wasn't bothering me or I would not even notice it.

After what you wrote I really think there might be a defect, Once you click on the sides of the plastic around the screen, did you see the signs I mentioned?

I did with one of the 9700 units I had. I got a replacement.
