I just won the Bold 9700 in the one year giveaway here on BBOS. I was going to give the phone to my wife. The only issue is that she and I have Verizon coverage. I'm hearing that the 9700 will not work on the Verizon network. I was wondering if this was correct? I was planning on getting the phone unlocked but I'm not sure if that will make a difference. Please let me know. Thanks.
No it will not work on the vzw network.. its a gsm phone.Quote:

Sometimes if your lucky it significantly raises the price of it (An extra 60-80 dollars - at least in my experience), that's how much influence having an unlocked phone has compared to a normal one.. Just to emphasize getting it unlocked :)Quote:

man, the bold sounds so nice. Anyone know when a new version on the tour will come out. I am trying to choose between getting a tour or waiting for a new tour
The Tour series is discontinued. The 9650 "Tour 2" will be branded a bold. Looks like it will be released sometime in May.Quote:
