Thread: Need help email icons

So I went to .405 then .423 and back down to .296 after a wipe.
All I know is now my email accounts dont show proper account icon pic and I cant access the gmail ones. I thought it had something to do with gmail sync option but I didnt chose that. I uninstalled gmail account and still same, I installed enhanced gmail plugin and still same. What could I be doing wrong? I also reset theme, battery pulled and same.

OK...I don' use Gmail...so this may be generic

Have you resent your service books?

yes I did, like 3 times. Each time some icons would show proper email picture icon not all. Gmail continued to have the issue where I couldnt click and get into it. I could only see/read gmail emails in the messages folder where all the emails go in to.

OK....I put in a Help request to alert other staff members of your issue.

I would do multiple battery pulls...60 secs. each and see if your stuff comes back. Please be patient...either a staff member with Gmail knowledge, or another member should respond to your issue.

Its cool, thanks. And its not like I'm a newb with blackberrys but this issue is sure making me scratch my head. Not sure if its the change of carriers and how At&t handles service books.

so basically your email icons are not showing correctly, right? you cant click on the gmail icon to open that folder? what happens when you open the main inbox icon?

Are your icons perhaps hidden? Do they show up if you press the BB Menu key and select Show All?

Yep, they all look standard like the gmail ones would look. But they arent hidden, and I cant click into the gmail folder icons. If I go to the main inbox then I can see all emails including gmail. I installed and uninstalled enhanced gmail plug in and the same.

Not hidden.

A little progress, after I uninstalled enhanced gmail plugin I rebooted and now I can go into gmail folders. Definitely something buggy with enhanced gmail plugin, I'll avoid it for now. Now to get the email picture icons back, I'll try resending service books.

Ok I think I'm back to normal. But I did all this before and it didnt work. What I did different was delete my gmail accounts, re-add them and still had same issue, installed enhanced gmail pluging and uninstalled it, reboot device. Cant say for sure thats what fixed it, but it seems fixed.

What if you try the new .442?
