Possibly a different sfi using a different memory address than the other device. IDK, as long as this rectified the problem, it doesn't make much difference. I'm just happy its resolved.

Have you ever wondered why things intended to make our lives simpler keep getting more complicated to use?
Thanks guys. It feels good to be back!
We pull batteries, swap bezels, break contracts, and stay up all night. We change OSes like we change underwear. If our phones could make us fly, we still wouldn't be satisfied. We're cut from a different cloth. A better breed. We are BlackBerry.
I'm puzzle with this app error on my 9700 still
how often and what have u tried?

Yes I've wipe and reloaded my OS. Have a new media card installed, I don't know if it's a ringtone since I've always use the same alerts on prev bb without issues. I would think it's an app but when I del newly install apps which I think would be it it still comes up so I just reinstall them back. I usually just restart the phone couple times till it goes away. It's just annoying.
Are u running 3g or edge? I've also found that edge causes app err in some areas

I only get this 523 error when my phone is switching in this one place in a pissant town in NY from 3G to EDGE, after that I never see it again after I am not in the one specific place of that town.
Sounds like EDGE is messing with you. I was going to suggest that if the device is different from the other one you have not experienced the problem with, it may still be the backup information. The devices may interpret the information differently and give the error.

You may be in an area (in the "pissant town") where you are on a shared tower and it may be unable to process your requests. are you on roaming when this happens or is everything normal other than the error message?

S'ok... we all have things to do and this may have been lower on the list for ya.
Any new ideas or info you've been able to pinpoint?
Is this error ONLY happening in one place?

Had to do a warranty swap. All is well again.
Good to hear!

Good to know it wasn't anything you could have fixed yourself. Kinda makes it a little better, eh?
So, if I understand correctly, the new device is NOT giving you the error message?
Have you tried yet, to duplicate the original problem with the new device?
Just wanna make sure it is resolved.
