Thread: Touch screen on Tour 2?

Is the screen going to be a touch screen? I've heard both yes and most recently on CB no.

i dont believe so, i have heard that the essex (tour2) will be the tour with wifi and trackpad

I have to say no on this as well. Laney is correct, it is the Tour with just wifi and trackpad.

exactly what i read as well

any hint on a release date? i think i read early Q1 2010. does this sound accurate?

Yeah, that is what I heard...February or March as some forums claimed.

Tour 2 / Essex is + more internal RAM, Trackpad, WiFi and the pic quality is actually much better, though it's still a 3.2 mp cam.

The Dakota is the one with Trackpad, Keyboard and Touch screen, and Liquid Lens technology cam. Currently the Dakota is looking to be for the GSM market only.

I fully expect that with all they are doing to the Dakota, it may well become their next proverbial Flagship.

im hoping that the touchscreen rumor is false, not a fan of touchscreens and i don't think the touchscreen on the tour would be a good selling feature

Can't wait for the Essex to be released. I wish it was an option when I bought my Tour.:haha:
