Default Saving Logon Data in OS 6

I upgraded my 9650 to OS 6 and the browser is not saving passwords. How do I get it to automatically or manually save login information?

Go to your browser options and make sure that you have any options to save cookies and login information selected.

There is no place in the options to check for saving cookies and login information. I also have it set to "accept cookies". There is a place in options for check hat data will be cleared and no matter how I set thise setting the passwords are not saved

It could be a bug then. I've heard various reports about the Browser in OS 6 having some issues for the Bold 9650.

Do you have a 9650 with "check for saving cookies and login information"? I have spoken to BB and they definitely were not helpful but they said there is no place to check for saving passwords and cookies (only to delete). If you have a BB with OS 6 that is saving passwords please also tell me the URL that it is working for.

    Neil,

For OS 6, open browser and then open options. Make sure the following are checked...

    Enable java script
    Enable embedded media
    Accept Cookies

This might solve your problem. If it doesn't, I would suggest reloading your OS

I have enabled Java script and embedded media but I do not have any choice for "Accept Cookies". Please tell me exactly where you see it in the list when you open the options and the exact wording. I ave spoken to BB and they think I am crazy and that there is no new password capability in OS6 browser.

If this site allows I would love it if I could get a screen print of it or a picture of it if that is possible.

I'll do a screen dump and post it here. Sounds like you may have to reload the OS

Thanks for the screen print it will be very helpful. Is the screen print from a 9650 or some other OS6 device? Also, out of curiosity how did you get a screen print of the the page?

I'm using a torch with OS 6, but the browser should be the same for the OS, regardless of device. As for the screen dump, I used Quick Launch Screen Capture

Since you have the passwords saving does it work for all URLs or only some. BB told me it will only work for very few URLs and will not work for any URL that is https

Sounds great. So if I need to reload the OS how do I go about doing that?

First, go to our download section and get the latest OS for your device, then use the link below on how to install a new os. I suggest going through the tutorial before you reload the os and familiarize yourself with the steps first.
