Thread: Leaked OS 6.0.0.280 for Bold 9650! Findings and Fixes

A few weeks ago, we saw OS 6.0.0.222 being the first OS6 leak for the Bold 9650 and now we have a more current build out in the wild. This time, we have a more current build with the PTT files included (but no word on if they actually work). If you were unhappy with the .222 build or waited for a more current build, this may be the one for you to try. Please review the feedback here on the .222 build, as some users have reported problems with their service books.

Lets keep it Green for pros and Red for cons folks, thank you.

So far .280 works flawlessly, vvm works and other apps that wasn't working with .222 is working seems like all the bugs got fixed, feels like an official Os 2 me!!!

VVM works. Annoying Browser reload bug works. Everything seems much snappier and put together.

Seems to be all good here, the New Browser sure is TONS better. The browser speed it a huge plus.

i did everything to the letter my bb browser will not work even call my cell phone tec they can't get it to work anybody have any idea ?

my web browser and a few other thing won't work in 222 had problems with the service books but it was easy to fix with 280 try everything browser still won't work i deleted 222 now i guess im forced to go back to 5.0:aargh4:

It sucks how some OS's bring our devices to a grinding halt. I had that with an OS a couple months ago.

with the help from some great people got my bb up and running os 6 v 222 again but here what i want to ask is the browser problem in 222 by service books . the same problem in 280 or is it a different problem all together

I've installed this on a couple people at work and it's working great for all of them, MUCH better than that first os6 leak

Is this a legit 6.0OS? And if so does that make the 9650 OS 6.0 capable? Does the device being 6.0 capable mean it supports flash, etc? and if that is the case does would the 9650 not support flash and would that take away from the new "6.0 experience"? These are all questions I have that will determine if I try one of these 6.0 leaks out on my 9650

The only issue I've noticed is that the phone reboots after exiting my voicemail.
