BlackBerry Bold 9650 to launch May 16th on Sprint?
While this isn't official news from Sprint, it sure looks pretty good. A user sent this into our good friends at CrackBerry today. Its a screenshot of a Sprint Excel file called the Handset Hotsheet and shows a list of phones with pricing info. Sure enough right there in the middle it shows the much anticipated 9650 and May 16th date. If you choose to believe this image is true, it would mean Sprint would be the first to offer the Bold CDMA device. A week ago we saw a screenshot from Verizon showing a May 27th launch. That would mean VZW would be nearly 2 weeks behind Sprint in the launch race. But without knowing for sure what this image's date of May 16 means, its hard to say if that will be the case. The spreadsheet doesn't say launch like the Verizon image did. So for now we will have to chalk this one up to a rumor. Hopefully the upcoming WES conference will shed light on both carrier's release dates.
my sprint reps said may 16th for us, they must have bumped it up a week
C'Mon VZW. Get on the ball!
To tell you the truth, it feels like carriers don't give a crap about BlackBerry any more. Neither the Bold 9650 or Pearl 9100 are getting much word out from the carrier.
Agreed. Android and Apple are stealing all the thunder with the Incredible and the iPad right now. Nobody cares about BB. Especially VZW.

1. Like you said it's just a RUMOR that VZW requested it, not fact.

3. Is there any VZW promotion of upcoming devices like the 9650 or Clamshell? Remember the S2 release. if you weren't looking for it, you wouldn't have even known it happened.
So yes, agree to disagree.
I should have a sprint 9650 within a day or two, rep is sending me a "test" unit
