9650 Specs/Features list found. Is it enough to make you want it?

More news on the Tour successor showed up this morning! A screenshot of the specs for the upcoming Bold 9650 was found. Also included in the screenshot is a launch date of May 27th. There isn't much in the specs list that we didn't already know. Only major thing I see missing on the list is the lack of info on how much memory will be onboard. We will assume it will be the standard 256 MB for now. Maybe RIM will surprise everyone and up that amount.

When the Storm 2 came out people complained about the lack of new features, even though the memory was doubled, Wi-Fi was added and a new screen technology was introduced. Let's face it, there really isn't much new on this device when compared to the Tour 9630. Sure there they have added a Trackpad, Wi-Fi and the Bold name, but is that enough to get owners to upgrade? What do you guys think? Are you going to extend your contract or use your "New Every Two” on the 9650? Let us know what you think.

    Smile Tour was a disaster

The Tour was a stinkin disaster for most. This is basically the Tour+. RIM needs to go all out and release the best devices it can (Snapdragons, etc.) and stop creeping along with minor upgrades.

I was just thinking I have never seen it say that before in a infoman screenshot. Even when I worked for VZW I never heard of that happening to anyone crazy haha. But about the 9650 I will pass next device please.

This is pretty much exactly when I had thought Verizon would launch the 9650. End of May. Damn near almost June! It's a joke how long it takes Verizon to do anything. Especially launching a device that has been ready for ages. Why the end of May? They're most likely announcing it at WES, so why not the week or two after WES? Why make everyone wait that much longer? I really have to stick it to Verizon for just how stupid and dragged out they've made the launch of this device.

This is a disappointment in my eyes. This what the 9630 should have been. I feel like getting a Bold 9650, you are setting yourself back as your getting technology that was release last November with the 9700.

As a day 1 Tour owner, i'll be upgrading very shortly after the 9650 (or whatever it ends up being called) comes out. Having the trackpad and wifi will be more than worth it. Granted, I get two year upgrade pricing after just 1 year on my line, so that helps. I'm also getting one of the new HTC EVO (4G Android Phone) when it comes out this summer.

As a day 1 tour owner, I hope verizon does the right thing and provide early upgrades to the 9650 like they did with the Storm 2 when it was released. I had horrible problems with my first 2 Tours so it seems only right. Then again, VZW is not known for giving things away.....

Who says the new picture really is a 9650? Any why is the OS blinded?
