Thread: Missing Voice Dial????

I'm not sure when this happened since i just recently started using my jawbone again but somehow my voice dial function is not there. i used to have it assigned to a side key but now it doesn't appear in that list. is there someway for me to reinstall it? (btw currently running Xonz Hybrid Bold V2.1)

yes it was probably shrunk out of his version.. you may want to ask him if its compatible with his hybrid first.

Actually my VD is gone as well...I got the .230 OS for my 9530...Please help if you can..

there is a way but I dont know it, i think you have to use cods from another os, if I hear anything on how to for sure I will post directions up

hmmm ok. time for me to research playing with cods. hopefully its a easy fix. or if not hopefully 5.0 and a new set of hybrids will be out soon possibly with VD included.

I updated the OS to include the vad files as well as vvm.

I've installed the latest version of your .230, but I still can't open up voice dial


Any ideas? would you happen to have the .cod files on just their own i can try?

did you use shrink a os?

try something from your phone.. go under options>applications>make sure the upperright says core> then highlight core os>bbkey>veiwmodules>look and see if you have vad.cod..should be a few of them... let me know.

net_rim_vad (Version .230)
net_rim_vad_engine_resource_en_GB and US (the following are all .191)
net_rim_vad_resource
net_rim_vad_resource_en and _en_GB

just realized crackman posted for his storm os. however. now that i think about it i dont remember having issues on his bold OS i will probably switch back to his. infact only reason i switched to xonz was cause he had a more recent update i wanted to try out.

I fixed my voice dial issue by replacing all the COD files that start with net_rim_vad with the ones from 5.0.0.140

The files are located in the Java folder

After I replaced the files, I went ahead and loaded the OS on my storm and the voice dial was back.

I know that some people don't like to mix and match but... hey I need my voice dial... and if you needed it like I do and don't mind the .140 files then go for it will work

Did you add the files to the java folder in your computer, wipe the phone and reloaded the os? That's how I did it.
Don't forget to backup. :-)
