Red lock on firewall setting
Just got a question for everyone ...
I have a 9000 and a couple other blackberries. I recently aquired an 8310 that was on BES and I used a downloaded policy file that I found on blackberryOS to get rid of the little red lock by password in security options (regedit-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Policy Manager-new string value- used location of downloaded file) Everything worked well on the 8310, meaning that the red lock was gone from password and I could finaly disable it and all was well I thought.
Because I tether with my 9000, when I plugged it in to Desktop Manager I think something happened because now the apps before that never asked me for permission to allow now are and Ubertwitter is not working and I get the following message : the application Ubertwitter has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy. Is there any way to get the little red lock off enabled in the firewall settings?
This is what I have done so far to try and cure it:
Deleted the whole process on my computer to get the password feature on the 8310 unlocked.
Removed and reinsatlled Desktop Manager.
Wiped 9000 using BBSAK and restored everything (with backups of the apps and device that were made before I did the whole 8310 policy thing.)
I am running XONZ Hybrid 2.1 (by far the best hybrid ever thanks to XONZ)
Deleted and reinstalled Ubertwitter.
And now I don't know what else to do. So I turn to the BlackberryOS community for help.
Thank you.
