Did your work set up your internet. I mean did they configure your device to work with their servers or is the device solely being used for personal purposes, like a Gmail or yahoo account etc.

If you go to Manage Connections > Services Status, you can find out. It will list BlackBerry Internet Service Connection, and BlackBerry Enterprise Server Connection. Most likely BIS will say Mobile Network, while BES will say not connected.

The device is mine, I set it up.

The one thing that I find very important is notes, I have 93 of them, but I have no "Notepad", no Icon, nothing

So to set up message service do the following:

Go to options, advanced options, Host Routing Table, BB button, Register Now.

After you get confirmation of this you will need to resend service books. What carrier are you with?
