Thread: Need input on the Bold OS

I am currently working on my unlocked Bold, and would like input from our members as to what they would like to see or any concerns you may have with your current OS. Please post your feedback here and lets see if we can improve the Bold too....

If could you figure out how AT&T is disabling BB Maps via the service books. I think it's via the lbs.alx file but I've tried the hacks that can be found via a google search but they no longer work. Another thing that would be cool is being able to toggle bluetooth via Quicklaunch. Thanks bbcrackman

A buddy has a bold w/ 247 and no problems and his maps came up with the 247 update.

Tell him to resend the service books. The icon was removed and the app is disabled. Do a search on google and you will see how many have been affected. For the record my Bold is unlocked and unbranded running the 247 OS.

Yea he's on att. He said he hasn't ever had a problem with his. He just puts the leaked os's on to try them and see what's new. Most just give new languages

Do you have the USB option checked and not the com ports?

No BBMaps. I had it with .247 too. Upgraded to .266 and no more BBMaps. Its there but blocked by AT&T. Would love to have it back.

I'm running 5.0.0.93 and no matter whoch theme I'm using, the icon doesn't appear, Quicklaunch opens it and it says the app is disabled. SIM unlocked and debranded. I'll use Live Search, Google Maps, or Poynt to use Blackberry Maps

Just getting back to the Bold world after 6 months on a Storm but my initial wish would be a 5.0.0.100 hybrid that allowed the facebook app to work. Me and a whole army I'm sure. Thanks for your time
