SureType in 5.0 for full QWERTY?

Take a look at this video. It is said this is in the new 5.0 OS's, don't know if it's just the Bold or 8900 as well. 5.0.0.110.

Thanks for the info. I love suretype on the Storm. I'm sure Bold users will appreciate it.

That's kind of silly. Why you want to use suretype on a full qwerty. Can someone explain the logic behind that. Message to RIM: STABLE OS PLEASE.

Yeah, I didn't really like the SureType on the Storm, I would rather just type out the whole word. I guess I'm not the lazy kind. :lmao:

It's good for lazy people like me who don't want to type out long words.

I guess so but on a good qwerty like the bold or 8900 I can type out a word much quicker than i could by pressing two letters and hoping the software recognizes what I am writing. More often than not I find the learning curve with Suretype to be quite large. But hey to each their own

I think they will have an option under screen/keyboard like we have now for full qwerty, sure type, etc. They must have.

You might be surprised how often you would use this. Once you retrain yourself to let the device guess the words, even with a full keypad, you can type much quicker then you even do now.

BTW this is for OS 5.0.0.110 and up. AFAIK, that has not leaked yet. And yes, this will be in all builds of OS 5 for all models.

Just out of curiosity, will there be a way to disable this function. Or is it an on all the time type of thing.

I will rephrase myself, sorry about that. If you have the necessary files it will WORK for OS 5.0.0.110 and above.

    Thats my fault

    Ummm necessary files like what?
I'm running in the 5.0.0.12x and isn't there, I know which is the build that has suretype and which one has the new bbm, but haven't gotten my hands on it, yet.
