I am sorry if it is not the right place to post this.
My Bold 9000 has been nuked for a month.
History:
my battery went 0
couldn't start the bold again, red light , rebooting non stop.
Did what a tutorial told me to do: Reload an OS directly from loader.exe.
The program didn't connect to my Bold.
Was advised to wipe the terminal using JL Cmder.
Tried but it doesn't connect to the terminal.
Can somebody give me a specific answer about what exactly I should do next.

Hello Tyb, sorry to hear your having issues. What tutorial did you try to follow? This one from neolantis is one of the better ones we have. http://www.blackberryos.com/blackber...-pictures.html it will take about 15-20 min to run.
If I had more info I could give you a better ansr.
What os are you on?
have you considered upgrading to a newer one?
are you getting any special error or code?
post back and we can go from there.

- My Bold 9000 is an unblocked terminal. I did it because I got it while I was working in Japan. The carrier was then DOCOMO.

_ Ev erything went well until the second step "initialization of the terminal". It lasted forever until I got an error message "cannot connect...". Repeated the operation few times, same thing happened.
-Went back on the forum I was following and was advised to wipe my Bold.
-Followed the steps with JL_Cmder, but the software cannot connect to the terminal.
This is where I am.
Please ask if you need any additional info.

- Forgot to mention that I have tried BBsak before JL_Cmder. Same result, it doesn't connect to the terminal.
I went through a lot of attempts with both bbsak and JL. :'( and I need all the help I can get.

Sorry for the delay.
you said you are getting "cannot connect..." does this happen right away before you can start the loading? or during?
if its a connection error it can be a few things.
1. driver issue
2. hardware/usb cored issue
3. device software is preventing the connection to the device.
for the 3 things i named off I would try this.
1. Completely remove and uninstall the desktop software and reboot. then reinstall desktop software. (make sure to reboot after)
2. Try a diff computer or usb cord.
3. Run the loader without the use of the jvm. http://www.blackberryos.com/blackber...thout-jvm.html

Go to Start Task Manager which is located at the bottom right of your computer screen.
Go to Processes, look for BlackBerry Device Manager, right click, and End Process.
A pop up will come up, End BbDevMgr.exe, click End Process.

thanks for the tips, I will follow your directions.
Meanzhile, I have tried again the process on your tutorial.
What happens is that after the connection of the terminal to the PC, Loader's first step seems to go smoothly.
Evrything happens during the second step named i think initialization. Loader is initializing ( the progress bar goes until the end ) then Loader tries to reconnect to the JVM and at the end, when the progress bar reaches the end, the error message appears " cannot connect to the terminal, unplug and try again". During this process, the terminal screen shows an icon of an horizontal battery with a yellow zebra on it.
P.S Sorry Lshap, I am not a native english speaker. Hope you can understand what I am writing. Additional question: what does "diff" computer stands for ?

if it fails at the reconnect then it could be a program error on the computer side but most likely running the loader with no jvm support will resolve your issue as well.

I have tried with no jvm, but the result is the same. Actually, when loader starts, it stills mention that it is loading JVM.

I have followed your instructions for bbsak, it keeps saying "no device connected, push ok to continue".
By the way, on the first window of bbsak on the top, there are two lines: PIN ans password. On the PIN line, it is written "disconnect". Don't know if it is important or relevant to my problem.
There must be something I am not doing right but I cannot figure out what or when.

Do you have access to a different computer you can try this on? I know it sounds weird but have you tried a different usb cable as well?

sorry for not answering earlier. Thanks fo all your help. My BB is back, alive and kicking. The solution came t me thanks to your comments. I have realized that there could be a hardware problem in addition to the soft. And I borrowed a battery from a friend and evrything went well. My battery was dead. With a new one, I could reload the soft.
